Pedestrian Lidar Control Tool (PLCT)

Pedestrian Lidar Control Tool (PLCT)

PLCT is a real time application that runs on a windows laptop. It uses a Puck sensor to calculate the distance from power lines to vegetation, all in real time while you walk underneath you powerline to check the pruning. If any vegetation is too close it will alert you immediately.

The software will show the Lidar data in real time and in a nice cross section you will see the phase lines and all vegetation that is too close. From this you can create a report with the built in GPS.

PLCT is a real-time laser scanner mounted on a backpack that automatically measures the distance from the power line to the vegetation (trees, shrubs). During inspections under the power line, our software analyzes the surroundings and displays the results on the included tablet.

The software displays scanning data in real-time and presents a clear cross-section showing the wires and all vegetation that is closer than the user-defined distance. From this data, a report with GPS coordinates can be generated.
